"We make Ireland's best Açai & Free From Ice Cream"
Dae is a free from ice cream brand making Ireland's best açai & ice cream. Founded in April 2021 by chef Conor Sweeny, with over a decade in the foo industry - originally called Leamhain; after the infamous river which flows through Conor’s grandparents home town of Killorglin, Co.Kerry. The river represents friends, family and communities coming together to share experiences. Leamhain started as a covid project when Conor lost his job working as a chef in a fine dining restaurant in London. Conor moved back to Ireland, settling in Killorglin and while watching Tiger King eating a tub of ice cream he felt he could do better.

Conor has over a decade working in the food industry spending years researching and creating his own free from sorbet recipes. Founded during Covid in his grandparents home town of Killorglin, Co. Kerry and named after the river Leamhain, as gaeilge for Laune river. After taking part in the business accelerator course "Foodworks" (backed by Bord Bia, Enterprise Ireland & Teagasc), Leamhain rebranded to Dae ice cream. Dae acts as a metaphor for what Leamhain’s ethos represents. Sunday is the day of the week friends, family and loved ones come together to enjoy moments and to share childhood nostalgia of ice cream sunDAE’s. Dae was born. Dae makes açaí the authentic Brazilian way, using a family recipe passed down from our aunt’s family in Campinas, Brazil. We keep it simple: quality açaí, carefully balanced ingredients, and a recipe that lets the natural flavour of the fruit shine through. It’s our way of bringing a genuine taste of Brazil to every bowl.
